[Look of the Week]: If You Think I'm Sexy...

This week's Look of the Week is the next step in our Valentine's Day outfit journey. Last week we featured the romantic side of Valentine's and this week we're featuring the naughtier side. Our beautiful Kate is rocking this sassy faux fur trimmed coat! But what it's covering, only her date will know...

Ooh lala! Kate looks slammin' in this velvet sweetheart mini dress. Throw this bad boy on and get ready for a sassy night on the town!

And the back side! It's easy to make an entrance and an exit in this little number.

With a sassy dress, instead of red pumps or black stilettos, go with the unexpected and try some lucite heels from the 50's! They fit about a size 7.5 with a low heel and beads and rhinestones on the front!

With the winter still raging, it's hard to stay cute - or sexy - with so many layers. But instead of gloves, snag this awesome leopard muff!

Rhinestone earrings that will erase any need for a necklace are a must (the bigger the better)!

With a sweetheart neckline and dangling rhinestone earrings, there's no need for a necklace but throw on the rings! This rhinestone ring is absolutely fabulous.

Another silver ring that's easy to throw on (you can always add more)!

And there you have it! If you're looking for something a little saucy to throw on for Valentine's Day, this is the outfit to make their heads turn.

Have a great Thursday!

[Look of the Week]: Love is in the Air

This week's Look of the Week is getting you ready for Valentine's Day! We love the romance intrinsic in this dress from the 30s/40s. We can just imagine the sweet date of dinner for two at a small local restaurant, a long walk downtown and ending the night with a little bit of sugar ;)

This dress hangs wonderfully and falls in the most flattering way. Our own lovely Abby wears it well!

The best part about this dress is that it's a bit bigger! It's pinned on the mannequin and we'd guess it's a size 8.

The beautiful lace keyhole neckline is incredible. It also means you don't need to fret over jewelry, the dress speaks for itself!
To keep with the romance of the dress, try a dramatic side part with a beautiful gold hair clip.

The dress is a light shade of mauve, so a nude shoe is your best bet to match (these almost fit the mannequin). They're a contemporary size 7.5.

And finally, to top off the outfit, you need a great clutch! This wood/cloth oversized clutch is modern yet the pastel flowers keep it romantic (you also can't go wrong with a nice beaded clutch, either).

And voila! You've got the perfect romantic outfit for whatever your plans are on Valentine's Day (scary movie night, anyone?)!

What are your big plans for Valentine's Day (or Anti-Valentine's Day)?

[What Would Emma Wear]: Inaugural Post!

We are extremely fortunate to have so many beautiful, stylish young ladies working at the store, each with their own flair. But none are as consistently styled and put together as our lovely Emma. So, without further ado, we thought we'd start a blog feature called What Would Emma Wear and this is the first official post (and we'll make it a double for ya)!

We love the menswear look Em's rocking. The tulle tutu skirt is feminine but balanced with a cool pinstripe blazer and black moto boots.

We also LOVE Em's hair here (so Cher Horowitz) with her fab oversized turtleneck and incredibe leopard vest (a Goodwill find we're jealous of...)

Stay tuned for more WWEW!

[Look of the Week]: High and Dry

This week's Look of the Week we wanted to steal away from the cold and snow covering Lexington and look to the hot, dry desert for some inspiration. If we lived in the southwest, this is exactly the look we'd love. She's got layers upon layers of clothing and jewelry and is rocking it!

We love the big side braids that have been en vogue for the past year or so (thanks to that S/S 2009 Alexander Wang and it's the perfect complement to the ease of the outfit. The Indiana Jones hat is fantastic and keeps her face and neck safe from the harsh desert sun.

The sweater was the inspiration for the entire ensemble, and is one of Maggie's favorites of the season. The vest was a necessary layer and how could you go Southwestern without a little suede? We like that the vest is a little shrunken so as not to make our lovely lady look totally shapeless.

And though the sweater was the anchor for the outfit, we had no problem covering it up with layers and layers (we would have added more but someone said enough is enough...haha) of necklaces.

Like the necklaces, we thought the more bracelets, the better!

A tad blurry (we'll get a better picture asap), the skirt has a really great print at the bottom which doesn't clash with the sweater. We love the idea of throwing on a slouchy sweater and a maxiskirt and running out the door.

We had some cowboy boots we really wanted to throw on our mannequin but alas, they did not fit her. These leather booties make a great replacement, though! The top leather part can be left extended or can be folded down and are comfortable for treading rough terrain.

The best part about this outfit is that even though it was inspired by the desert, every one of these pieces is totally wearable now! The long skirt and sweater are both extremely warm and the layers will keep you toasty, too!

There are few words that need be said about Louis Vuitton's Cruise 2011 Campaign and these are it: beautiful. chic. color. french riviera.

Hope this helped take your mind off the dreariness of January. Time to start planning vacation!

Look of the Week: A 90's Kind of Winter

If you all are at all like us, you are both extremely relieved and somewhat wistful that the holiday season is over (we'd say we split those feelings at 80%/20% haha). But even though the holiday season is over, the cold weather keeps on coming! So for this look of the week, we were inspired by our friend, Caitlin, who rocks 90's glamour grunge like nobody's business. So without further ado: a 90's kind of winter...

We could totally see Lindsey rocking this whole outfit (aside from the earmuffs) in Freaks and Geeks. The plaid coat is actually a man's coat but if you like oversized fit, it is SO warm and SO cute on.

The shoes, socks and tights are Caitlin's own, but they totally make the feeling of grunge in the outfit. We love how easy the green velvet mini is with just a touch of bling from that funky necklace.

With this outfit, you'll make the upcoming dreary months seem warmer than ever! And you'll have everyone wishing they were back in 1992...

[Style Spotlight]: Eva!

One of our wonderful customers sent these photos to us featuring clothes she got at Street Scene! Eva is rocking the mustard double breasted cardigan we featured in this look of the week! Check out her photos and super cute outfit below!

Eva's rocking the sweater with an adorable high-waisted tweed skirt. We really loved how the rest of the outfit is muted tones, which allows the sweater to really pop!

If you all have photos of yourself wearing vintage finds from us, send them our way! We love to see how people rework vintage! Just shoot us an email at
