About this time of year I start getting so tired of the itchy winter clothing, tights and skirts filled with static, and the freezing temperatures, that I slowly slip into my “comfy clothes all the time wardrobe" that mostly consists of sweatpants and hoodies. All the stores are debuting the cutest summer clothing and accessories, but it is too cold outside to wear any of it. I long to just throw on a pair of flip flops and a summery dress, so comfortable and easy, but I must wait a few more months. If you are feeling the winter fashion blues too, this week’s look will show you how to incorporate one of the hottest spring and summer silhouettes, the crop top, into your winter wardrobe while still staying season appropriate. The look features a super flowy floral cropped blouse (with ruffles!) paired with a great pair of wide-leg green-checkered pants. When going for a cropped silhouette on top, a fuller skirt or wide leg pant on the bottom will balance your look perfectly! If your crop top is a lighter, summery fabric or colors just pair it with a weightier, darker fabric on the bottom. Not many accessories are needed since there are so many great details in the top, so we just added a strand of pearls and a beautiful green rhinestone necklace.
