We're fast approaching that special time of year that all of us Lexington natives wait for...KEENELAND will be open for live horse racing for 3 glorious weeks in April. The experience of going to Keeneland means something different to everyone, we all have our own rituals around attending the Spring and Fall annual meets. I myself didn't participate until a couple years ago, but I have caught up for lost time by indulging in everything Keeneland has to offer. I enjoy every moment of a day spent at the races. I love dressing up, wearing a hat, sitting in the sun, and eating bread pudding with bourbon sauce, yum.
Horse racing is such a huge part of Lexington's history, so it is only fitting that a store that is based in honoring objects and ideals from the past would celebrate this Kentucky tradition. This year at Street Scene we are dedicating an entire room to Keeneland related merchandise! Allow me to take you on a virtual tour of our new space, filled with all your Spring Meet needs...
