{Look of the Week}: Pastel Confection Perfection

Pastels are a huge trend for spring and summer, and coincidentally one of the most popular colors found in vintage clothing, especially from my favorite era: the 1950's. I achieved this perfectly sweet look by piling on everything pastel, from clothes to jewelry to accessories.  Don't worry about being too matchy-matchy, all your pastels will instantly coordinate together!  The cotton-candy pink top in this outfit is actually a bathing suit worn under  the skirt!  If you don't feel comfortable wearing vintage swimwear to the beach or pool, try wearing it as a top under a cute skirt or shorts!  Next I added a pink and baby blue gingham skirt that is just too perfect!  For another pop of pastel, I added a light purple belt at the waist, a pile of sherbert-colored necklaces, and some tangerine sunglasses!

Emma's perfect bathing suit- $32; pink and blue gingham skirt- $15; lilac belt- $8; sunglasses-$10
necklaces: $3-$18;  pin-$6

necklaces: $3-$18;  bracelets: $1-$4

sunglasses-$10;  hankie-$3;  shoes-$15

purse-$22; headband-$12.50
