Vintage DIY: All American Looks

We all know I like to go a little over-the-top celebrating holidays.  From parties to decorations, I love to go all-out.   It also gives me an excuse to theme my outfits appropriately, which I love to do whenever the chance arises.  4th of July is just a few weeks away, and I have already started dressing for the occasion. There are just too many fun possibilities for this holiday from stripes, polka dots, ginghams, to nautical patterns.  You can really go all out mixing and matching prints with all your favorite red, white, and blue accessories.  Whether you need ideas for a casual or dressy look for your 4th of July celebration, check out the inspirations below:
Perfect pattern mixing and an adorable striped vintage clutch!
Gold accessories really set off a red, white, and blue look.

I need this in my closet immediately!
An over sized vintage flag sweater with cut-off shorts: a perfect nighttime on the lake look.

I would have never thought to wear an over sized man shirt like this, but it looks adorable!
What's more American than Coca-Cola and cut-offs?

A laid-back nautical look.

A sailboat printed top and wide striped skirt pair perfectly together for an office appropriate look.
If you are overwhelmed about putting together your own 4th of July look, don't worry! I also browsed the store and put together some 4th of July looks that you can purchase at Street Scene!  There were almost too many great options to choose from, but I chose 4 of my favorite outfits:

An adorable 1950's knit bathing suit worn under a simple cotton skirt with a red, white, and blue scarf.

Red cutoff shorts paired with the cutest sheer floral printed top.

The greatest patriotic skirt with a simple cream halter top.

A comfy striped t-shirt paired with a cotton red skirt, and accented with a gold eagle necklace.
