New Years, for me, is not a big deal. Almost every year has been hypehypehype and my friends and I go to a too-crowded bar for a too-high cover and then almost always chaos of some sort or another ensues (if you can't tell, I'm averse to large crowds and spending money - a terrible combination for NYE). I'd much rather spend the night hanging at home, ringing in the new year with the people I love the most, sipping on fancy (aka Andre) champagne.
That being said, I LOVE getting dressed for New Years Eve. It's the one night of the year I get to go all out and wear as much glitter and sequins as possible - in a chic way, of course. Needless to say I was very pleased when it was my job to create an outfit for Look of the Week. For her outfit, I went with an downtown vibe, with more leather than glitter and minimal jewelry:
So let's start from the bottom and work our way up. First, the boots:
here). Finally, throw on a beanie to save yourself hours of work only to be undone in minutes from snowfall and/or dancing. I would also wear a giant pair of killer rhinestone earrings, just to throw some glam in there.
