Spring Transition Outfits

It's that time of year again, when we are all ready to debut all the latest spring fashions, but the weather refuses to cooperate.  When the winter blues hit, I think the cure is to mix in a small dose of spring into each outfit.  Bright prints, flowy blouses, and spring patterns can easily become late-winter appropriate with a bit of strategic layering.  We also have tons of new jewelry here at Street Scene that is the perfect accessory to brighten up your winter wardrobe!  Take a look at the four looks I have put together to tide you over until spring hits:

Look #1
This blouse ($12) is perfectly flowy and flattering, ideal for spring and summer with some cut-off shorts.  To make it weather appropriate, add a chunky cardigan ($16), and tights under your shorts with booties.  This long and delicate turquoise fringe necklace ($32) is the perfect pop of color for spring, and a great length to flatter the plunging neckline of this blouse.

Flowy cream blouse-$12
Gray shawl-neck cardigan- $16
Cut-off shorts- $15
Fringe detail new necklace- $32

Look #2
Flowy printed pants are a huge trend for spring and summer, and these 70's wide leg pants are the perfect weight and color combo for year round wear.  I paired the pants with a simple black and white striped tee to modernize the classic 70s look and topped it with a classic jean jacket.  The star of the outfit is this gorgeous bejeweled tortoise shell link necklace that is a great statement piece for spring!

Striped tee- $10
Jean jacket- $20
Printed wide-leg pants-$16
Tortoise link necklace- $36

Look #3
Break out your jean cut-offs early by pairing them with tights and booties.  I mixed these cut-offs with a spring printed blouse and brown chunky cardigan.  This blouse has a gorgeous floral print mixed with southwestern patterns that makes it super unique and trendy.  I played off the southwestern details of the shirt by pairing it with this sweet new turquoise arrow drop necklace.

Floral printed blouse- $16
Jean cut-offs- $15
Chunky cardigan- $14
Turquoise arrow necklace- $22

Look #4
This look is all about these beautiful new patchwork silky pants we just got in the store!  The pants are super comfy and bright for spring, and will look perfect paired with a halter or crop top.  To make it season appropriate, I added a chunky cardigan to the look.  Our new multi-color tassel necklace is the perfect accessory to bring out all the bright colors of the pants and add an extra pop of color.

Patchwork pants- $29.99
Salmon tank top- $9
Tassel necklace- $24
Chunky cardigan- $14
