Blue Jean Baby Queen

"Blue Jean, Baby Queen, Prettiest Girl I Ever Seen"
-David Essex

Okay Friends

I am here to speak to you about Blue Jean shirts, or better known as Denim Shirts.

They are the best thing you could ever add to your wardrobe.

You can wear them with virtually anything and every color...even Blue Jeans.

Ok, wipe that smug off your face. Denim on Denim is absolutely fabulous... if worn correctly.
(AKA not like Britney and Justin in 2001)

They are perfect for travel because you can wear them a multitude of ways and not look like you are wearing the same shirt over and over.

You can dress them up, have a lazy day in them, and everything in between.

OMG Now I want a Denim Shirt Where do I find Them!?

I find the best place to find good Denim Shirts are at....

Dum dum dum duuuuuuuuuuum.

Vintage stores.

Why at a Vintage Store?

Broke in Denim is the best feeling ever.

Mens old Denim work shirts not only fit great, but are roughed up a bit, and were made to last.

You can find lots of hues and fits of Denim

You also get to save a pretty penny (and shop local!)

Okay I am intimidated by Denim Shirts.

First of all you are lame, but you are my friend so I will help you.

I would start with a Chambray, it has the same kind of look of a Denim Shirt

So whats the difference then?

Chambray is a plain weave fabric woven with a indigo yarn as the warp and a white yarn as the weft. Denim is a twill of the two colors. Chambray’s warp and weft threads will alternate one over the other, while denim’s warp thread will go over two threads in the weft then going under one. Denim has a lighter twill style on the back side of the fabric, while chambray will look similar on front and back. Its like denim for 'fancy' people.

Now you know more about Denim and Chambray then you would ever want to know.

You're Welcome.

Now for the good stuff:

A final note:

Men can wear denim just as well, so everyone should just wear denim all the time.
D A V I D!

Until next time friends,
